Hiring the hall

The hall is available for hire for a wide range of events such as children’s parties, meetings, or classes by both individuals and businesses alike.  We hope that this website will give you a good idea of the facilities available, but if you would like to see the hall for yourself before booking please contact the Lettings Officer by email or telephone 07967 413411.

Our hire rates are very competitive at £15.00 per hour for the main hall. A £100.00 deposit is required for any hire over 6 hours. The meeting room can be hired separately for £8.00 per hour. Heating and lighting are included. Also available without separate charge when hiring the main hall or the meeting room are chairs and both round and rectangular tables, together with crockery, cutlery and glassware.

Good quality tablecloths are available for use with the round tables (white) and smaller (blue), a charge is made (to cover our cleaning costs) please contact the Lettings Officer.  There is an additional charge of £20 if the hall will require locking up after 11pm. (Please note however that on Sunday the hall is only available until 8pm.)

You can check whether the hall is available for hire on any particular time and day, by viewing the calendar on the Availability page.  All current bookings are shown on this calendar.  (Please note there are several other Broom Village Halls in the country.   To save you time, and possible disappointment, please check that we are the one you want.)

The Single Hire Agreement is available to view and download, as a pdf document.  There is a separate version of the hire agreement for multiple bookings such as classes and other regular events, again please contact the Lettings Officer if you need this.

If you wish to hire the hall, please print the agreement yourself if you can, otherwise contact the Lettings Officer who will send you a copy.  The hire agreement contains the booking form itself (on pages 1 and 2) together with a number of important conditions.  To secure a booking, you will need to complete the boxes on the booking form and return this, together with the required deposit, to the Lettings Officer.  We recommend that you discuss your proposed event(s) with the Lettings Officer before doing this.

The booking form and any deposit will need to be received by the Lettings Officer to secure the booking.

The village hall management committee is proud to be a part of the local community, and values its good relations with its neighbours.  We would ask you to be considerate of them when holding your event.

Any comments or suggestions about the facilities we offer, or about hiring of the hall generally, will be welcome.  These can be made to the Lettings Officer, or direct to the Chairperson if necessary.
