The hall is well used by the local community for a variety of regular and one-off events.  Weekly activities include classes or sessions for a variety of groups.  Other regular activities take place only once or twice a month.  In addition the hall hosts special events, organised by the management committee and others to help raise much needed funds for the upkeep of the hall.  Details will be added on this page as available, so check back here regularly to see what’s going on.

Pilates is a safe and effective body conditioning method for people of all ages.  Everybody can benefit and you don’t have to be fit or flexible.  Small classes ensure individual attention.  Cost is £9 per class, booked in 5/ 6 week blocks.  All mats and equipment are supplied.

The art of yoga is the discipline of body, breath and mind.  Each class includes postures, breathing practices and meditation.  This gentle approach is suitable for everyone, all you need is a yoga mat and comfortable clothing.

Classes held at the village hall every Thursday, 9.30 – 10.30 am.   For ages 16+.   No experience necessary, and you can join at any time.  No booking is required, these are drop-in sessions.  Wear comfortable clothes and trainers, and bring some water!

Taekwondo – Family sessions

The Broom class takes place on Saturday mornings from 10 – 12 am.  Taekwondo is a great way to get fit in a fun, friendly atmosphere, and to build your confidence.  This family class is open to all ages, and involves students from 5 to over 50.  It is run by the region’s biggest martial arts school, the Championship winning London Chinatown TaeKwonDo.  Please contact or Drew 07903 277962

We are pleased to announce that we are fully licenced and a bar will be available for some events run by the Broom Village Hall Committee.

A primary school play, with a difference! The youngsters are all played by by some of our leading comedy actors. Through inevitable mishaps, misunderstandings, young egos, fears of failure and fallings out, the children’s characters evolve into mirror images of their parents, the audience.


£3.00 per person, to include  a mince pie.

As usual, there will  be a full licensed bar at  which we will also be serving mulled wine.
